Fact 1:On the sunny Greek island of Delos, where he was born along with his twin sister, Artemis. Another tradition gives the islands of Lato, now called Paximadia, off the southern coast of Crete.

Fact 2:Leto (Latona) and Zeus (Jupiter) are the parents of the versatile god Apollo and his twin sister Artemis (Diana), the virgin hunter. He is also related to Athena, they are brother and sister.

Fact 3:Apollo had many encounters, but no marriages. Flings with Cassandra, to whom he gave the gift of prophecy; Daphne, who fled from his embrace and turned into a laurel tree; and Calliope, with whom he had a child, Orpheus.

Fact 4:Apollo's symbols are the Sun itself, the lyre (a type of musical instrument), the bow, and the chariot he drives across the sky daily, borrowed from an earlier pre-Greek Sun god, Helios.

Fact 5: Although often associated with the sun, Apollo was not originally a sun god. In Homer, he is god of prophecy and plagues. He is also a warrior in the Trojan War.

Fact 6: Apollo is depicted as a beardless young man (ephebe). His attributes are the tripod, omphalos, lyre, bow and arrows, laurel, hawk, raven or crow, swan, fawn, roe, snake, mouse, grasshopper, and griffin.

Fact 7:Apollo was the great Olympian god of prophecy and oracles, healing, plague and disease, music, song and poetry, archery, and the protection of the young.

Fact 8:Like his father Zeus, Apollo is all too happy to enjoy the charms of nymphs, as well as the occasional.

Fact 9: The enchanting semi-divine singer Orpheus and Asklepios, gods of healing, are the most famous of Apollo's offspring.

Fact 10:The mountain town of Delphi, where a few columns from an early temple of Apollo still stand. The island of Delosis also sacred to him, but there is no temple remaining there today.

The reason that i picked the colors for the Dramatic reading is because Apollo is somewhat the sungod. When i tihnk of the sun i think of orange and yellow.
The reason that i chose the music is because I think that he is heroic and the name of the main theme is heroic. Ways that i think he is heroic is he is the god of arrows and he rides a chariot across the sky. Nothing gets more Heroic than that.
